The oddest thing was though, that I had a dream that I was dancing with a GIANT blue platypus, and I told my mom the next day when we were on the subway. She just gave me a weird look and said, "Wow, that's pretty creepy," and we talked about it for a while. I then remembered that I was in Osaka Station when it happened, and when I told her she looked relieved and said,
"Oh, that actually happened."
What.
the.
hell.
It turns out that a giant blue platypus is the mascot for the JR train system on Honshu, and once in awhile they get some poor soul to dress up in a costume and parade around the underground. Still not quite sure why I was dancing with it.

Bright lights, big city
Was quite extraordinary
The drive was pretty
I was in perfect company
The love of a lifetime
Since we were elementary friends
The one with the bright eyes
Why can't I be optimistic
I tried to find the logic logically
I had a dream and I could not shake it
I was standing up there naked
There's fear in the truth at hand, frozen I forgot to understand
The life keep living growing older more into a man
And I let her grow away from me
Love, love is not pretending
Time, time was meant for mending
Memories into all these satisfactory
Healthy smiles fill the page the day we spent in miles
And I let her drive away from me
She'd say "let the sun shine in
Face it with a grin
Oh the smilers they never lose
Oh and frowners they never win
Oh let the sun shine in
Face it with a grin
Open up your heart
And let the sun shine in"
The one with the bright eyes
Laughed her way inside this music box
Stored away in the corner of my heart
And I let her get away from me
But I'll never take that day away from me

One mile is just as far as one thousand if you can't bridge that distance.
